andrés margaz

He was born in a small town on the Spanish Levant. Between mountains, with dense and exuberant pine forests full of life, of streams of calm and transparent waters where everything proliferated and grew. A beautiful Arab village with beautiful people, on a hill, between two rivers, an almost island place.

He played, he was always playing. He created universes of fantasy, of magic. They absorbed him, he felt true passion. He discovered, conceived, flew...

His work gives prominence to the most insignificant and vulgar objects, dispensable. A stone, a piece of rusty metal, a broken glass, a piece of wood, the skeleton of a cactus or a tile. From the most ordinary and coarse one can create beauty. Therefore, recycling is the basis of his artistic work.

The purpose is to create a critical consciousness from emotion, passion and creativity.

He discovered expressionism when he was eight or nine years old and it caught him. Probably his way of twisting feelings and emotions, of seeing the world through the unadulterated eyes of a child, is what most marked him. This first experience influenced him to create, throughout his artistic trajectory, a particular, three-dimensional and close work.
